I'm still looking for a picture of a guy in his 30's, named Tom that brought his 'project' to the rally.

I think it was a '78 Standard that Tom spent 11 years restoring. It was beautiful to see it like new.

Tom arrived at the rally with no miles on the bike and proceeded to join the rides on some of the twistiest roads in the country. It did get a little dirty.

At the awards ceremony, Tom won the award for best restoration.

I was pleased to see the Triples receiving notoriety, considering that only one or two showed up in previous years.

Nice job Tom, wherever you are.

I hope that I can make it next year as well. It would have been a chilly ride back home for me. We got our first frost just after that weekend.

As soon as the flyer is available, I'll start a new post for VYR 2019.

The Iron Horse just conformed my reservation. They hold the rooms for the previous year VYR occupants for 30 days, then they release them to other VYR attendees until the end of January (I think). After that, they become available to the general public.

FYI, They don't require a deposit until July, and you can cancel up to 30 days before the really with $20 cost.

Do you have an address and phone number for the Iron Horse? There is one in Milwaukee WI and that just keeps coming up in my google search.
