It has been a while since I have been here. Just got my 1977 XS750 2D out for a new season. It started up fine. I went for a ride and made a few stops. Then after one stop, it wouldn't start. I finally got it going with the kick starter. Battery seems to have lots of power. However when I try to use the electric start all I get is a clicking sound from under the right plastic side cover. Before I dive into it, any suggestions on how you can determine if the problem is with the relay (solenoid) or with the starter itself? I'm sure hoping it is the solenoid, and not the starter...
