Subject: New Front Master Cylinder, XS750 won't start

Hey guys,

I recently installed the Magura front master cylinder from mikes xs on my 1978 XS750. Bike was running fantastically before I installed this but now it won't start. The electric starter will only activate if the throttle is open prior to pressing the button and the kick starter seems to have a lot less pressure. In addition to the brake switch there was what seemed to be a ground connected to the factory bracket, as a side note I'm curious as to what this wire is if anyone knows. On the same day as the master cylinder install I also took off the clutch perch to see if I could fit a different one on but I ended up reinstalling the factory one. Am I adjusting the clutch lever wrong? Or is it an issue with this mysterious wire?

Thanks,

J
