Subject: Repairing my broken float mount again

The mount is broken at an angle about 1/4in below the float mount hole. I filed a groove in the base of the mount only large enough to fit the bottom half of a stainless steel4-40x 1/2in screw. I did the same thing for the broken half of the mount.put a #4 x 5/16in OD washer on both sides of the mount with a #4-40 aircraft lock nut. I applied a small amount of epoxy on the screw threads (just between the edges of the mount). This way the washers add some mechanical support when the screw and nut are torqued to about 8in lb. I'm letting the epoxy cure for 7 days at garage temperature.
I used Epon 828 mixed with Versamid 140 1:1 mix ratio. You can use other marine epoxies in stead. Do your reasearch.
