Hi all ive been getting some progressive backfiring and leaking at my carbs. So I decided to do the dreaded (at least to me ) Pulling of my 3 carbs on my 1980 850 sg, So when I opened the Float bowls to check on the leaking gas problem i surprisingly found no gaskets on any of my float bowls .. I was led to believe by P.O. that my carbs have never been touched. Is this the way these carbs came stock with out gaskets on the float bowls? If they did indeed have gaskets what are they made of? Like a regular gasket material?Or a rubber band type like a o ring material? Any help would be great i think i found my leaking gas problem.
