So I was trying to pull the sparkplugs out of my spare engine and 2 of them broke off at the threads. I bought a square extractor but when inserted in the plug it is too short to get at with the tap holder or even vice grips for that matter.

I'm thinking I have two options:

1. Remove the head and try to go at it from the "inside".

2. Try and fabricate something to slide over the .30" end of the extractor to make it longer.

Has anyone else ever come upon this issue before?

Edit: Just thought about if I could use the female end of a 3/8 socket extension... hmmm
