Having some starting issues lately. My 1979 XS850 won't restart after riding either for a few minutes or a long time. It starts easier when cold. How would I determine if the failure to restart is due to a too rich or too lean a mixture? How would I test if the choke plungers are functioning? I am using Hitachi carbs with stock filter. I have cleaned the carbs extensively. It has a good battery that I keep charged up.
