I'm investigating replacing the Hitachi carbs on my 850 with some brand new RS 36 Mikunis . Putting a new Amal on my BSA made a huge difference to its reliability and performance. Figured it would be a good thing on the Yamaha. Trouble is you need Mikuni cables. Most of the models out here in Australia came with Hitachi carbies. Anyone tried this?
